At Caistor Equestrian Centre our horses and ponies provide therapy, achievement and enjoyment to people with learning difficulties and / or disabilities.

Our Centre is certainly not unique in recognising that when the client is working with animals – horses in our case – that they gradually build up a very rewarding relationship. Those with learning difficulties and/or disabilities instinctively interact more openly with our horses and in return our horses 'give back' a special sense of trust and loyalty. This takes time of course, but it is an amazing confidence and skills boost to the client.

We have a good pool of appropriate horses to draw from and we are very mindful to plan the lessons appropriately either individual or group sessions.
